Interesting facts

• Phil is no stranger to Clio Cup racing with plenty of experience beginning in 2005.
• He is joining the series as a one-off as it’s his local circuit but is hoping to race for a full season next year.
• Last time Phil was in a Clio car was competing in the 2008 Winter Cup series in which he was runner-up to Aron Smith – picking up one win (Rockingham) and two podiums.
• He is a driver coach for Clio Cup team Amery Motorsport as well as Croft circuit itself, with Phil clocking up several hundred miles around the circuit each week.
• This year he has been competing in the MINI Cooper S Challenge.
• Phil’s claim to fame is that in 1996 he came third in the National Scalextric Championships, competing on a ‘mini’ version of Brands Hatch Indy circuit!
