"Certainly the plan is to go one better than last year – it was a dramatic but also bitter way to end my season. Having won a championship before I’ve now also lost one. I’m starting 2017 physically fitter and also hungrier than ever for success."

  • Mike is something of a keep-fit fanatic, so much so that his resting heart rate when he wakes is normally 40-42 beats per minute and has been known to go as low as 37bpm!
  • 2017 is Mike's fifth season in the UK Clio Cup. He starts it with 70 races in the category already under his belt.
  • Away from racing he's a budding online game designer and has just had his first game called ARENA accepted onto gaming platform Stream.
  • He's also pretty handy with a spanner - his family company Vital Car Sales specialises in MOTs and he's often getting his hands dirty.
  • Brands Hatch is his local circuit.
