  • Paul is set to contest his 200th Renault UK Clio Cup race in 2017, at Silverstone's penultimate rounds in September...
  • He won his very first race in the championship 2001 (only 2 other drivers have ever achieved this in the category's 18-year history).
  • 22 is his lucky number - it used it when he won each of his three crowns to date. He also points out that both Lewis Hamilton and Jenson won their first F1 titles (2008, 2009) using no.22...
  • In addition to three titles his achievements, starting 2017, also include 46 wins, 42 further podium results, 35 pole positions and 33 fastest laps.
  • He is the only driver to have won UK Clio Cup races at every circuit on the calendar.
