All the meganes running on the ring someone must get to steal one in order to find out what the engine is :)

I shall NEVER post anything on here again if sticking up for the respect of others is deemed negative.

Goodbye Forum

No one has said it was negative. It was the arguement afterwards that was (none of which you were involved in). The only reason why your comment was deleted, was to tidy up the thread and remove stuff off topic.

I always understood that the official release would be Autumn 2017 which appears correct with a September launch in Frankfurt.

Do agree the wait is too long, least it's not a focus rs timing 18 months before the new model comes out :)

Jeremy confirmed that all details released 12 September. Would assume order books open for a Spring 2018 delivery?

As my dealer said, it'll be released in autumn '17 when they will also start collecting orders, first deliveries in spring '18. I want one sooooo bad it hurts.

mostly disappointment in French forum as far as I can see. I've noted an engineer from Alpine claiming this is not really how it looks in the metal ... so, it might look better still :/

Looks fine to me, especially in that lunar grey type colour. I can't work out whether it is a real car or a photoshop effort though!

Looks good at the front and the back.
Side on looks a bit basic, think hidden rear door handles would have made a huge visual improvement.
Wheels look good.

At the end of the day it's all about how it drives!

Agree regarding the rear door handles.

Google translate has answered my question, which is that it is a 3D render.

puzzled about the lights, seems a bit soon for a facelift of the whole range...

I think it's really good.I like it.
If you compare the two overhead views of the RS (Grey) vs the Non RS (blue), it really highlights the wider arches front and rear. 😎
I'm really not sure how Renault can afford / budget to give this car bespoke front and rear arches at this (£32k ish) price point. Apart from the CTR, none of the others manufacturers. And even the CTR is just a bodykit.

Don't think those images do it much justice in terms of grey on a white screen etc but looking at them I expect it to look good.

Some folks still saying it 'bland'. Can these people elaborate? Everything is relative and calling something bland would imply that there are other less 'bland' products available for similar money. All other similar cars (A45, Leon-Rot Cupra, Golf R, RS3, 140i) have side profiles which are even more conservative than what the new RS has shown so far.
So please folks, when giving opinions please use some facts to back these up. Otherwise it is just annoying.
