Well, I think the main comparison point is the current M3RS. Equally, the Clio 200 was being compared to the previous one I assume. Should I renew my current car with something I feel is less visually exciting? Again, as far I'm concerned, this is one question among others that'll drive ultimately my final choice.

Here, as per the visual side of the matter, I don't know yet as this modelling is meant for IP registration rather than attracting consumers.

So please folks, when giving opinions please use some facts to back these up. Otherwise it is just annoying.

The looks of anything be it a car or even a person is subjective and very personal, there is no right and no wrong, surely not a difficult concept to graspLOL

You obviously think the new RS Megane looks great but you seem to get upset by others that are less than enthusiastic and don't agree with you. Does it matter YOU like it and surely that is all that should matter.

Personally I agree with others that it does not look good in side profile and does not do a good job like the RS Clio in hiding those rear doors. It also looks a bit 'snouty' with too much overhang over the front tyres and sorry but it still shouts Vauxhall Astra at me.

I suspect what we have seen to date are poor renderings and it maybe that in the 'metal' it will look amazing but from what I have seen to date it won't be getting my money on looks alone.Confused

Why would you consider/buy an RS Megane Mr Vix you drive a great big comfy barge. Also, wouldn't think Renault care that much about your money.

Maybe but it does beg two questions...

why bother with such a very minimal difference between the two engines?

and why have these more powerful iterations of the 1.8 not been used in the Alpine?

Yet - means there's scope for an Alpine S or R at a later date.

i now think it will come with the 280HP in normal mode and 300 in sport

i agree that the front overhang is to much in those pictures. Im sure it will look better in the flesh

The way it's been modelised (parallel / flat perspective) increases the overhang (and make the wheels look smaller)

Here a rendering (without the wider arches...)

Rendering M4RS

versus

M4RS flat modeling

Will the 4ws be an option or standard fit?

I like this new megane from the photos and spec so far, just needs much better wheels that the ones we've seen..

I highly doubt that there will be two different engines and it won't come in orange, I'd like to see ly and racing blue.

+1 for Racing Blue.

I think 4WS is standard fit.

I think a orange is very possible. If you remeber the Megane 225 had a burnt orange as a 1st release colour

It looked good much like the BMW Colour

I just cant believe that side profile is right, the amount of overhang forward of the front wheels is frankly ridiculous. It looks like an anteater!!

The IPO pictures are flattened, as explained above by someone, hence what appears to be a long overhang. Look at a regular Megane to see what it'll be really like

It'd be interesting if they offer the blue from the e-ZOE RS

Anyone knows if RS are going to use the new premium paint facility of Alpine in Dieppe?

It is even more pronounced in your picture BraddersShocked

All I can assume the 2nd engine option that is being bandied about is going to be a 7 Litre V8, which should fit with room to spareLOL

I wouldn't get all caught up on the front end 'overhang' it must be very similar if not the same as the megane GT that's been around for a while so....none issue, just camouflage and bad pics imo.
