I know you can order in April and expect delivery in July. But I wonder will dealers have cars preordered? In other words, if you aren't fussy on spec, I wonder if it will be possible to get your hands on a RS earlier than July? One of the dealer cars? Probably not.

Interesting exhaust note on this 0-200 km/h launch control test - on a EDC sport chassis

For me I can’t think of any single reason not to go manual.

The answer to thant question is definitley 100% no. Renault will have demonstrators and that will be about the height of it you won't receive your car until it is officially released whenever that will be, sometime in July hopefully.

Sounds like Renault are trying to emulate the VAG DSG bovine flatulence noise that is so annoyingly embarrassing when I drive the GF's TTSSad

I expect the 'Bumfluff' brigade will love it thoughLOL

Unless you're minus some limbs then me either. RenaultSport (to me) is all about chassis and interaction/engagement. Flopping through an autobox in a car with the power of a hot hatch isn't for me....I'd take one in a GT3 thought..

Sorry Mr Vix. You are right. My initial response to your story was inappropriate. Please excuse me. It's just I have never had to respond to someone with an imaginary girlfriend before.

The only chance for me to take the meg is if the dealer I was supposed to order a new one in will receive a manual cupped demonstrator, which unfortunately they have no idea / no choice what they will be somewhat forced to purchase....

I heard there will be limited supply of the RS coming into the UK as there is not that big demand for this car amongst the UK motoring public who want or need a 279HP car to tootle about town and the occasional weekend drive it is to keep the market value of the RS up there in the stratosphere so maybe there will be no demonstrators available?

Unless RUK have changed their position on this then all dealers that are registered as RS Specialists are required to have at least one of each RS model available as a demonstrator.
They have to keep them for 6 months before they can be sold.

My expectation would be a few ex demo's on the market around Christmas - predominantly in white with an average option list.

Yeah, that's correct all R.S. specialist dealers have to have at least 1 demo of each model
