Is this the best looking new car on sale today?

http://www.pistonheads.c...efault.asp?storyId=28857

There's nothing at the minute including supercars, for me, that looks amazing. However, this and its drop top sibling, are simply stunning to my eyes.

I'll have a V8 Coupe R in orange pleaseBig Smile

Always feel jags have a whiff of the incontinence pants about them but i love the f type and agree it probably is the most beautiful car currently on sale.

Agree, have been seeing these on the roads daily for the past month or so and followed a V8 one on the M40 the other day.

By far the most desirable car on sale today I think.

Just specced one up on the configurator to my tastes. £93,562.38. Which would be £93,562.38 well spent I thinkCool

Easily best looking car about at the moment. I'd settle for a drop top in red.

Curiosity got the better of me yesterday and I went into the Jag dealership in Southampton to have a look at the F type. The GF has fallen in love with it and I have to say if there is a better looking car on the road at present I have not seen it. Really tempted to get the new coupe but it would have to be a V8 but it is £80k ish but the coupe apparently has 550hp!!!

Trying desperately to resist!!!

Go with the V6s! Friend works for Jag, he says that's the one to go for hands down!!

To be fair the sweetspot, apparently, is the V6S. A friend was on the launch and drove them through Italy (lucky bugger). But how could you not have the V8?

The only thing I don't like about the soft top is when the roof is up. Think it has a bit of an odd shape at the backUserPostedImage

It would have to be the V8 for me otherwise I would probably go for a 911S at that money.

Trying very hard to resist temptation, I keep telling myself that Jags are for old boys with paunches and stains on their trousers!!

911s are ten a penny. You will stand out in an F type.

Plus, get a V8 R Coupe and no better jag will be out there.

Get a 911 and some smug tw@t in a GT3/Turbo/other better variant will pull up alongside and pi$$ on your chips. I always buy the best car in a range wherever it's possible as I'd think I were being short changed a little and that mine could be better

Seen one on the road already!

Driving up the M42 past Gaydon where JLR's R&D Facility is. One with 4 enormous 'zorsts in full camouflage paint and trade plates came thundering past us, sounding like The Incredible Hulk gargling Thor's Hammer.

I take it that will have been the X-Type R with the 540 odd BHP.

Yep, 4 pipes is the v8 version. Twin centre pipes are the v6 model.
