I don't know what it's quoted as, but I would bet high 20's or very low 30's if lucky.

I'm only at 1300 miles but my average is about 30mpg/high 20's. It's not my daily so it really gets taken out for running about at weekends.

Mine does;

Normally, in the range 30 - 33mpg under everyday driving when fully run in (>12K5 miles) on Shell Nitro.

It can easily average 36mpg on the motorway. Big Smile

But less than 10mpg on a track day. LOL

Cheers Pete

My 200T won't do 30mpg with my driving style/miles. Yet to crack more than 254 to a tank haha. Worst I have had to a tank was 60 mile on track lol!

I've had two now and covered 13k in them. Motorway you can get 45mpg if driving at the speed limit over a long distance but mixed driving is 30-35. I very rarely saw it below 30!

8MPG on a track day so you may as well work on this for your day to day use Paul.Wink

Just a tip, you can access the instantaneous mpg by touching the wiper stalk(I think)and cycling through the options (I wonder what the secret messages might be). When you're about to nod off at 70mph on the Motorway you can see what an incredible mpg you're doingApprove

I did 68 miles today, 34 each way, fuel v'power nitro plus, and so I reset the average mpg before i left, averaged 31.9mpg by the time I got home.
There were some 50 limit roads where I was just tootling along with the cruise control on, but there were also plenty of nice roads suitable for "race mode", so I could easily have got much better average mpg, national speed limit roads interspersed with roundabouts make for some fun full throttle runs.
The exhaust bark on upshifts never gets tiring.!

Still running in with about 450km on the clock now and an overall average of 9 litres per 100 km which is 26mpg in old money.

Edit: That's all around town, no journeys longer than 20km and then only a couple of those.

Not a 220t but a 200t with 24800 on the clock =
Normal spirited driving is 21 mpg
60-70 mph Motorway to work and back 30.7mpg
Track is 9mpg

Currently going back and fore from Cardiff to Bristol in mine most days. Mostly M4 and dual carriageway, I'm not exactly light-footed and I've seen 31.5 mpg average over the past 3000 miles (currently around 7500 on the clock).

On a few days where I made a point of driving economically (no breaking 70mph and no flipping down gears before overtakes) I was able to get 36.5 mpg average on those days.

Before I started this commute, I was averaging about 28.5 mpg on mixed roads. Not vastly different to my Megane 250. I'd be genuinely amazed to see over 40mpg out of it.

I'm not complaining though :) Great car - I didn't buy it for economy!

Did you convert to UK or US mpg? Mine's at 10.4, that's 28 mpg in UK money.

I'm in my 2nd trophy now . Covered around 17000 miles , 80 miles trips daily , these trips always involve some spirited driving on clear roads . And I'm Always showing around 39-31 mpg. Can't understand some of the really low readings some people are getting (apart from track days ) I did my usual 80 trip one night , followed by a headcase in a BMW 320i . I will just say the the max speed etc that is shown in reviews for the trophy is accurate, anyway when I pulled up at home having burnt threw a ridiculous amount on V -power the average MPG was still reading 26 ? . Also I would love to have Luke's trophy ? 45MPG ??!! I read Luke's post and thought I would test this on a recent trip to Cornwall . 300 miles from me . I sat at 70 mph ALL THE WAY ! Had the odd car flashing me and all sorts to speed up ! One guy even shouted at me from the middle lane as I was in slow lane '' what a waste of a good car '' hahaha ! Anyway 39 MPG . 45 MPG no way . Anyway happy new year everyone and I'm loving the new trophy .

Interesting to see that, on average, people get around 29 mpg, as that's exactly what I average in my R26 as well. I guess it doesn't help that the Clio has lower capacity engine, the power is about the same and that power needs feeding Wink

if you can get 39 mpg at 70 mph, then easily over 40mpg is doable, but youd have to be travelling at 50mph to do it, which just isn't practical on a motorway, but is possible sometimes on other roads.
I have a focus 1.8tdci and I regularly get over 60mpg on a run up and down the m1, I though that was the best it could do....until last summer when we went to skeggy in it, pretty much 50mph roads all the way and I got 83 mpg...I was driving as efficiently as I could but just shows what's possible.

Quite shocked at how low the MPG is for a 1.6, my old Meg 250 at 70used to do around 33MPG and even my Focus RS does 32MPG at 70.
