Happy days, when i first got mine it wasn't to good on the juice it had 4000 miles on the clock, now on 9000 miles it's a lot better and the engine has freed up to, mine always does in the 30's and just over 40 on a run. The tank is tiny well

yeah I think the very small petrol tank makes it seem like its more thirsty than it is, having said that, its not an economical car.....especially in race mode ;-)

p.s congratulations by the way , you will have some fun driving now.

I get 34~35mpg if I stick it on cruise control @ 70mph for an economy run
At 80~83mph cruising it gets 29~30mpg

As the others said - that tank is tiny so it feels worse than it actually is

I usually got aroung 380-400 kilometres from one tank of fuel. That's 235-250 miles. The worst I did was 190 kilometres (118 miles) with about 37, 38 litres (8,35 UK gallons).

I only average about 23 mpg but it's worth it :)

We have a dedicated thread for Clio mpg or litres per 100km for those of us in exile :-)

Personally, I now have just coming up to 5000km on the car in 6 months from new and recently went on a 1000km trip where I managed to get there (actually 480km) on 3/4 of a full tank. It was autobahn and speeds up to 100mph 160kph.

Coming back I used a little more fuel but still not a full tank even though I pushed the speed a bit more up to 190-200kph.
