Renaultsport Summer Trackdays
Trackdays are the only way to push yourself and your car to the extreme limit, with expert racing drivers giving hints and tips on the fastest way round the UK's best circuits.
This year Renault UK has already held four events for Renaultsport customers with venues including Oulton Park, Brands Hatch and Bedford Autodrome.
The sessions have been sell-outs, and have attracted a dependable band of followers. Mike Easley, who drives his Clio Renaultsport V6 255, said: "The Clio V6 is an exciting drive but on track the experience is magnified - I found myself completely mesmerised.
"Calling this fun is like saying Beethoven's 5th is 'a pretty good tune'."
Lee Mather added: "Having attended trackdays with Renaultsport in my previous 182, I was eager to try the Clio Trophy out on a technical circuit like Oulton Park.
"Neither disappointed me in the slightest. I shall be putting my name down for Cadwell later this year."
Renault UK's Product Brand Manager Jeremy Townsend says trackdays are the best way to enjoy the potential of your Renaultsport car. "If you have a quick road car you can never really drive it flat out," he said. "Within seconds you'll be coming to a junction or another car. On our track you can drive it to it's potential for miles. It feels fantastic.
"People spend a lot of money improving the performance of their cars and this is the time when they can really enjoy the fruit of their labours. Driving on track is so completely different from driving on the road."
If you are thinking of signing up you better be quick as all events this year have been sold out. "On other trackdays there will be 100 people there but they are limited as to how many times they can get on the track," said Jeremy Townsend. "We subsidise our days and restrict the number of attendees. That way people can get out on the track as many times as they want. They are not limited to sessions."
