Special Edition Mégane Renaultsport F1 Team now on sale

Renault has marked the release of New Mégane Renaultsport 225 2006 by paying tribute to its double Formula One World Championship success in 2005, in the form of a special edition model, which is on sale now at dealerships across the country.

New Mégane Renaultsport 225 'F1 Team' takes its styling and equipment lead from the Cup version of the new range, but has a host of exclusive additional features to celebrate Fernando Alonso and Renault F1 Team's 2005 title victories.

The most immediately obvious extra is the Renault F1 Team detailing, proudly displaying Renault's traditional racing blue and yellow colours on the front and rear bumpers. The car itself comes with striking Ultra Blue paint, combined with black gloss lightweight spoked alloy wheels with matching mirror housings and Dunlop SportMaxx tyres.

Inside the car, Recaro sports seats make their debut on the Mégane Renaultsport range and are standard equipment on the 'F1 Team' special edition. Finished with blue/black Scotec cloth, the seats fit perfectly with the fine blue-stitch detailing on the steering wheel, gear knob and gaitor.

Each vehicle is unique thanks to a numbered Renault F1 Team plaque that identifies the order of production. In addition, the car is fitted with the Cup chassis providing uprated front and rear suspension, re-tuned front and rear dampers and drilled front and rear brake discs to reflect its racing pedigree.
