Mitchell, who has contested the first half of the Clio Cup season with SV Racing, tested with 20Ten at a wet Oulton Park last Friday (sharing the track with Team BMR with Pyro’s Ashley Sutton).
He heads to Knockhill’s latest rounds this coming weekend (Sat 22/Sun 23 Aug) lying fifth overall in current standings after one outright podium finish and is also a close second to Sutton in the Graduate Cup for younger drivers in their first full Clio Cup season.
The 17-year-old commented: “I’d like to thank SVR for their support in 2015 but now I’m looking forward to an exciting new chapter with 20Ten. Last year they pushed for the title and have been right near the front again this season so I’m really keen to begin this new relationship with them.”
20Ten Team Principal Simon Hunt said: “The test with Jack at Oulton went very well – he is an impressive young talent and we’re delighted to have reached an agreement with him so quickly.
“The hope looking to the future is that one day he would go on and win the title with us. For the rest of this season, however, we have to be targeting more podiums with him and maybe even that first win.”
