Current championship leader Ant Whorton-Eales from nearby Lichfield will demonstrate his SV Racing car. Team BKR as well as JamSport Racing (with Dan Holland and George Jackson) and 20TenRacing (with Jordan Stilp) have also confirmed they will take part in the event that uses a specially designed street circuit using Coventry’s ring road.

Furthermore the event will provide hardened and casual motoring and motor sport enthusiasts alike with a golden opportunity to find out more about the Clio Cup and see why it is such a hit among the 30,000-plus crowds and live ITV4 audiences that watch British Touring Car events at which it races.

James Noble, Festival Director commented: “We are so excited to have the Renault UK Clio Cup  teams at Motofest 2015.

“The Clio Cup is very popular and provides a fantastic spectacle for the crowds who regularly flock to catch the championship action.

It’s going to be an amazing spectacle for all those attending and we give thanks to the Clio Cup teams for providing Motofest with the chance see up close some incredible vehicles being put through their paces on our new sprint circuit.”

Renault UK Clio Cup Championship Manager Will Fewkes said: “This is a magnificent opportunity for the Clio Cup’s drivers and teams to further promote themselves in front of huge numbers of people beyond the already terrific exposure they receive at British Touring Car events.

“The Coventry MotoFest organisers surpassed all expectations with their trial event in 2014 and 2015’s looks all set to be even bigger and better. We are very pleased to be able to add to the spectacle for all those attending this year’s event.”

Renault UK Communications Director Jeremy Townsend added: “The Renaultsport brand is among the most evocative in motoring and motor sport circles – backed up further by the number of owners of Renaultsport-badged models of Renault.

“Coventry MotoFest will certainly add significantly to the exposure and enthusiasm for both that brand and the owners’ community. We are also very excited about being able to further raise the profile of both the Clio Cup and our superb line-up of teams and drivers to both seasoned motor racing fans and also very likely a whole new audience against such a unique backdrop.”
