Whorton-Eales took victory in the race, in mid-April, but was later excluded from the results after another team protested the eligibility of his JamSport squad’s race car.

However JamSport and Whorton-Eales have been successful in their subsequent appeal against the exclusion to UK motor sport’s governing body, the Motor Sports Association.

An MSA Tribunal ruled that Whorton-Eales’s car complied with the technical regulations. The appeal fee has been returned and Whorton-Eales reinstated in the Donington results.

A revised set of full championship points plus an amended result for Donington's second race following the appeal will be issued in due course.
