The 275 Cup-S offers high-end performance at an entry level price (£23,935) while the more ‘road friendly’ 275 Nav replaces the 265 – for the same money (£25,935) while delivering 10hp more.
Furthermore the Cup-S boasts an upgraded ‘Cup’ chassis plus a limited slip differential (LSD) as standard. Its top speed is 158mph and its 0-62mph time six seconds flat.
The Cup-S is likely to become a hit among track day enthusiasts… In normal mode its engine develops 250hp. But pop it into Sport or Race modes (available through the very clever Renaultsport Dynamic Management system) and suddenly this increases by 25hp – notably, in Sport the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) intervention remains; in Race this is switched off entirely.
There is even the option of Öhlins adjustable dampers for optimum performance in line with road conditions and driving style. In fact Renaultsport has even set up an online tutorial on the Renaultsport.com website to help owners make the most of their Öhlins!
Other attention to detail includes a bespoke Akrapovic exhaust that cuts 4kg from the vehicle’s weight, Renaultsport seats, extended Renaultsport wheel arches and the option of 18 or 19-inch ‘Tibor’ alloy wheels.
Notably the 275 Cup-S comes fitted with Michelin’s ultra-high performance Pilot Sport 2 tyre.
The 275 Nav, meanwhile, is not quite so raw with a specification more suited to everyday road driving. Its ‘Sport’ chassis is also exemplary while wheels are 18-inch ‘Tibor’ alloys fitted with Dunlop’s Sport Maxx tyres.
Among the many refinements are rear parking sensors with colour camera and the option of Renaultsport’s Leather Pack with heated front seats, carbon grey Renaultsport leather upholstery, electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function and adjustable lumber support.
Leather Recaros are an option on both the 275 Cup-S and 275 Nav while both models are available in standard Glacier White or six metallic colours: Arctic White, Diamond Black, Mercury Silver and Titanium Grey as well as the new Flame Red and the iconic Liquid Yellow.
