ASI is one of the biggest motor sport shows in the world and, as seen in 2017, a ‘split livery’ Clio Cup race car – to reflect both senior and Junior categories – will be on display at the British Automobile Racing Club’s stand (number 7560 in Hall 7).
Championship officials will be available on all four days for interested parties to discuss participation, technical and PR matters.
Registration for both championships opens on 1 January. The fee for a full season in the UK Clio Cup which races alongside the high-profile British Touring Car Championship is £15,850 + VAT if lodged before 31 January. Registrations received thereafter will be charged at £16,650 + VAT.
A full season’s registration for Clio Cup Junior is £5995 + VAT. After its successful launch in 2017 the category – for 14 to 17-year-old racers – has just announced a six-event/12-round calendar for 2018.
Registrations can be lodged via Renault Sport’s UK Motorsport Championship Manager Will Fewkes: Email email@example.com or Tel +44 (0)7894 317477.
He commented: “We were very proud with the way both our championships performed in 2017 – the UK Clio Cup grew for the third year in a row in terms of stature and quality.
"Clio Cup Junior proved a hit straight out of the blocks, offering younger drivers a car that is some way ahead of anything else on the junior market place in terms of performance, technology, reliability and safety.
“Significantly those taking part also commented how our scrutineering methods – ensuring equality among the cars – had stood out for them.
“We very much look forward to meeting teams and drivers at Autosport International and seeing them deliver more great racing with us in 2018.”
