The top three finishers plus the highest placed finisher in the Graduates Cup class (for younger drivers) will all be presented with the stunning pieces of work.
That’s 72 trophies in all during the season. Each trophy will depict the circuit configuration raced on that weekend along with the driver’s result (highlighted by gold, silver or bronze) and round number.
Graham & Leigh is also supplying all trophies for the Clio Cup Junior championship for 14 to 17 year old drivers…
Its circuit ‘wall art’ has become much sought after by many thousands of teams, drivers and motor sport fans right around the world.
Each piece is mounted in a solid hardwood frame underneath acrylic diamond cut glass with the circuit cut from high-grade Baltic birch plywood and then given the illusion of ‘floating’ with the use of miniscule acrylic rods. See the grahamandleigh.co.uk website for more details…
Director Andy Graham commented: “We were very proud to supply artwork to each race winner in the Clio Cup in 2017 but for 2018 really wanted to take it to the next step with the championship.
“The racing is the purist you can find anywhere – the cars are identical in performance so it’s really down to the teams and drivers to make a difference. Plus of course the action is amazing – it’s what motor racing should be.”
Will Fewkes, Renault Sport’s UK Motorsport Championship Manager, said: “The craftsmanship that goes into Graham & Leigh’s trophies is staggering, making each piece a real collector’s item.
“They add class to our podiums and are added reward for every driver fortunate to receive one. I’d also imagine that quite a few different names will be getting their hands on at least one of the Graham & Leigh trophies in 2018 given the quality of the drivers we’ve confirmed so far…”
