Mégane Renaultsport 225 retains much of the styling of New Mégane but adds a number of more sporting features. A discreet spoiler on the rear hatch and large 18-inch alloy wheels with Brembo brakes contribute to the dynamic styling of the car as does the modern interior design specific to this Renaultsport version.
The turbo-charged 2.0-litre 16V engine remains easy to use in everyday driving while the exhaust has also been developed to provide a pleasing note with a twin-outlet system, similar to that found on the Clio V6 255. A six-speed manual gearbox allows the engine’s performance to be fully exploited. An independent steering-axis front suspension provides steering precision while eliminating the feedback effects often encountered in front wheel drive cars.
