Ciceley runs its UK Clio Cup team alongside its race-winning British Touring squad, making it a formidable force on the grid with very obvious engineering and commercial capabilities. It quickly hit the ground running in its debut UK Clio Cup season in 2016 when it entered three cars - one for Max Coates who stunned with 3rd in the final standings in what was also his first year in the championship. A four (possibly even five) car line-up is anticipated in 2017...

JamSport goes into 2017 eager to defend the drivers' crown it so brilliantly achieved in 2016 with star driver Ant Whorton-Eales - only its second full season in the championship. In addition to a first title the year had a few other first up its sleeve for the Northants squad - first race win (in fact there were 9 in all for 'AWE') plus a first 1-2 result (when Whorton-Eales led home team-mate Luke Kidsley at Snetterton). It will be fascinating to see how JamSport reacts to being 'the team to beat' as the 2017 season unfolds...

Very possibly the most successful team in UK Clio Cup history with seven drivers' titles alone in the past nine seasons (2008 Ben Winrow; 2009 Phil Glew; 2010 Dave Newsham; 2012 Jack Goff; 2013 Josh Files; 2014 Mike Bushell; 2015 Ashley Sutton). Indeed since that first title in '08 Mark Hunt's squad has been beaten only twice to the crown and, having lost in 2016, it will undoubtedly be out for revenge in 2017...

WDE has been a major force in the UK Clio Cup since coming into the championship in 2014 having mounted a serious title campaign with 'lead driver' (three-time Champion) Paul Rivett three seasons in a row. It also places a focus on bringing through new talent and while Rivett has acted as 'mentor' to youngster Charlie Ladell in recent years, for 2017 WDE has added Paul Streather - one of the most exciting newcomers to the championship in 2016 - to its line-up. Expect fireworks from the Kent-based squad.
