Renault Duster

Hi Allen I have a Duster Dacia gearbox problem : I broke my 2015 4*4 1,5dci manual box in the Karroo here. I have now been offered a second hand box - Mine is for the above 2015 car which is a TL 8B005 gearbox (man). I have been offered a TL 4B075 gearbox from Durban. Its is a 2016 box. And its 1200 miles away ! ANd no one can tell me whether it will be a fit to my Car! Is there anyone in the UK I could speak to about this? By the way I am very happy with the performance of the Duster, especially on sand - it's impressive. Regards Mark Anderson Cape Town

Renault Duster

Hello Mark, Really this would be more of a central question and even then very few people will give you a positive answer. The different suffixes and definitions of the gearbox are generally for ratio or casting differences. However once you get all of the information you'll be able to decide: 1. Will it fit in to your current vehicle. 2. The level of compromises - top speed, etc. Best of luck.

95 octane fuel in clio rs trophy 220

Hi, just bought my trophy 220 last week (made about 600 miles) and just realized i have been putting the 95 octane fuel into the tank instead of the 98. Could there be any damage from this or will everything be fine now that i started putting in the 98 octane fuel? (i have noticed that the car is not as loud as when i bought it last week), Thanks.

95 octane fuel in clio rs trophy 220

Hello Stas, The ignition map will adapt to the fuel and compromise performance. Prolonged use will change the emission adaptions.

RS 280 Cup MT - Suspension tramping in anything damp/wet.

I'm experiencing quite a lot of suspension tramp if I'm a bit overzealous with the right foot. Besides the obvious (better pedal management) is they're anything I can do that might reduce the tramping I'm experiencing? The 275 Sport would just spin a bit and make you look daft, the 280 Cup sounds like it's going to self destruct. Always on the drivers side and I've had all the links and bushes checked, all is well.

RS 280 Cup MT - Suspension tramping in anything damp/wet.

Hello Dave, Ultimately the modulation of your right foot will make all of the difference and while the systems will support they are reactive and do not anticipate.
