Also have the new RS garages been given sales targets on the RS range again as the last time I spoke to someone there was no sales target. There aren't any Renaultsport specific targets for these dealers, no. Originally Posted by: Penn Fantastic news, this is exactly what RSUK needs. Will they also specialise in GT by Renaultsport? It is a project that Jeremy and I have been coordinating with all of the different departments within RUK for the past 8 months or so. Yesterday, this all came together with our first Renaultsport Club dealer meeting, which took place at Blyton park. The idea moving forwards is to get these dealers together every quarter to share best practices, provide RUK with feedback directly and to have a focus area for each session, for example product and technical knowledge. We encouraged them all to join the forum and get involved as much as they can with regards to offering advice and helping with sales and service queries.
These dealers were not hand picked by RUK based on volume potential or any other commercial factors, but based on their passion for the brand and the product. It's still very early days and we're continually learning, teaching and developing how we do things, but the important thing is we have a passionate group of people who I hope you will get to know. The good news is that they are required to run Renaultsport demonstrators, so you'll now have somewhere you can visit to drive our products.
We have a full press release in the working which will contain all the detail needed, but for now I thought I would just let you know. Please join me in welcoming along our new members (when they join!).
Thanks Luke & Jeremy
PS for information, here's the 26 dealers which we have on the team.

From another forum: "looking to buy a new Meg early next year. Now thinking logically I'd like to drive one to see what it's like before I spend all of my money on it! So I called a local Renault dealership who have 4 265's in stock. He was very happy to help and said I could test drive a car today, until I said what I was looking at, and there suddenly became a 2 week wait! He said it's because it's a specialised car so I have to book in advance! Anyone know why this is? I also had the same at another dealership whilst sat in the car with the keys and the salesman. Do they not want to sell cars? Sorry for the rant but I think this is a bit silly!" The dealer? Renault London West... http://www.rsmegane.com/...php?9477-Renault-dealers!!

Thanks Jeremy & Luke, Sounds really constructive that RUK are trying to get dealer network up to speed on the RS product as I definitely feel that it's one of the things that let the brand down previously. Dealers often knew less about the product than paying customers which is not the way it should be. Even if some of us are a bit car geeky! I hope this will also be reflected in the servicing teams with an RS specialist there too. Hopefully that bodes well for the arrival of Alpine product too as if you want to take on Lotus/Porsche etc you will need enthusiast/specialist sales teams entering a premium price sector. All bodes well though, keep up the great work and get a move on releasing the 2016 trackday calendar! 😉

Evening all,
Wanted to introduce myself my names Dan Keir from Arnold Clark Warrington Renault. I'm the RS sales specialist for the branch. We also have Ste Garner a Renault Master Technician to look after the technical side and aftersales.
You are all welcome to pop into the branch anytime to have a drive of our 275 Cup S and Clio 220 Trophy demonstrators. 3 current members of the team own Renaultsports. We have a Liquid Yellow Clio 200 and a Clio RS 200 Lux owned by the sales team, plus a 197 and 220 Trophy in the possession of one lucky valeter!
So you will have plenty of fellow enthusiasts to talk Renaulsport when you pop down.
Hope to see you all soon or send me a pm on the forum.
Dan

Great to see the dealers investing time in this forum, almost a shame the others do not. I would think in this day and age with social media there would be a recognisable value in having a #community presence for reputation and marketing purposes.

I'm still heartbroken we aren't "specialists" haha

I take it this has all fallen away? Ive been dealing with Parks - Motherwell and they have been extremely unhelpful, and un interested (they were a lot more interested when I was looking at signing on the line for my 220 Trophy!)
I get Renault is a "mainstream" brand with a lot of dealers but given the little amount of RS specialist dealers I really expected a tailored service but Ive had a nightmare trying to get a fault fixed and have been left with a car with no electric window!

I suppose this topic does need updating as to which dealership are still in & who is within that dealership is RS. As your specific window problem any authorised Renault repair centre should be able to have a look at it as you know & they may approach it with a fresh pair eyes or be lucky to find the actual cause.
