Sorry Danny but BMW's £675 Harmon/Kardon system is a better upgrade.

I know what, it's something I don't like so I'm gonna be a massive drama queen about it all and disregard everyone else's opinions.

Unfortunately Mark, you're just plain wrong on this one. You've got a lemon and a crap dealer, can't take it out on every single car and dealer out there. I feel sorry for you, if you were in my position you'd be having a hoot.

And I don't claim to be a guru, but after I sold my car website last year, I still have a go in loads of press cars thanks to one of my closest friends, and through other things I get to drive amazing bits. Last month a 430 Scud, this month a Huracan and a 650S. Sounds rubbish doesn't it?

Yes I regret the V6 sale, but needed a roof over my head and had 2 kids at the time, not exactly practical eh? Will be getting another maybe next year. Thanks for the concern pal

Have a hunt around.
I know from my own experience and that from a few friends that there are quite a few dealers that use it as a benchmark - especially if you are not going to spend a significant wedge getting a replacement from them.Evil

We do seem to be in a era where you make massive losses on new hot hatches. I just stuck my Focus in WBAC and it came back with 19 odd k, that's 13k in 6 months LOL. Next cars gonna be a 10 year old 60,000 mile golf diesel!

You take a massive hit in the first 6 months of any car to be fair, it would be worst point on the depreciation curve to sell. It barely loses any more then over the following 24 months.

Just your opinions Danny, not sure why you are being so rude and tetchySad

As I have said I think the driveability and enjoyment of the car when it is fully operational is a refreshing change from much of the boring stuff that is out there at the moment.

You seem to be on a mission to justify your purchase of the 595 which immediately sounds off the alarm bells with me, have you have problems that your pride will not let you admit to? Me thinks 'thou doth protest too much'LOL

If you want another V6 you had better get saving as I suspect you are going to pull very little equity out of the 595, good luck anywayLOL Wink

The issue isn't with the beats system, the issue is with it not workingShocked

It is not the apex and as Penn says the HK is far better at a cheaper price but having said that I think on a car like the 595 and its 'noise' issues it is a wasted option in any case but hey ho that was my choice.

How do you know it's better when yours doesn't work Confused

Who started the rudeness calling people out as a car guru? Oh, I live in cloud cuckoo land also?

And yes they are my opinions, you just can't accept them. Unlike the fact I accept that you've had a terrible ordeal and I feel sorry for you.

V6 will be an additional car anyway, won't have to worry about the 595 value, it's perfect for the fast A Rd B Rd blast to work. Also helps when you get a cracking deal at the start Wink

Only in the beats edition 500, assume that's the same system as the upgrade?

Oh Danny Boy you do make me chuckleLOL

The Beats did actually work for a week or two, even FIAT wouldn't deliver a car that was fully operationalLOL

A 'Car Guru' is hardly on the same level as a 'Drama Queen' but as you are a Mod who am I to argueLOL

Really glad you don't need to worry about the 595's value, I must look into a 'Teaching Job' myselfWink

It s all good funWink

Ah, not a teacher anymore you see Wink

And besides I've always had my fingers in quite a few pies, I just tend not to crow about it Wink

Don't need to worry about the slanging, I've spent all my life around football, training pitches and changing rooms, if you give it out you've got to take it eh? You do make a big 'who ha' when it's something you don't like though Tongue (f type values, flappy paddled clios etc)

Not the old 'Tin Tack'Wink

I reckon at least one of your fingers is going to get very burnt when it comes to 'Sale Time' with the 595, maybe time to pull a finger or two outLOL

Too much time around the 'Changing Rooms' is a bit worrying but it is all in jestWink

I must remember next time I buy a car that I am not keen on to come on here to tell everyone else how good it is so they can make the same mistakes, silly meConfused

Tin Tack?

As I keep saying, nothing wrong with coming on here saying you've got a bad one, it's just the rest of the crap about 'you'll regret it' and 'you'll get your fingers burned' and generally trying to sh!t on the car when you're completely off the mark about what I think and have experienced.

I must remember next time I buy a car I like to not come on here and put across a different point of view to someone who has had a bad experience and is 'not keen' on it (maybe that's it, you're not keen so justifying why you shouldn't have it anyway. But guess what, it's ok people like different things you know, that's kind of the best bit in life) Wink

I think I should have started a new thread on MY experiences with the 595 and left you to fawn over the 595 on this thread and for that I apologise.

It works both ways though Danny, you have said how fabulous the 595 is and I agree with you on the 'fun' factor but I am sorry it does not imo live up to the build quality and standards we expect from a major car manufacturer in 2017. Lets also not forget the Dealer service is woeful, which I hasten to add was at the purchase point and aftersales point which were too totally different franchises.

I get the distinct impression that everything is always 'sunny and lovely' in Dannys world and you hate to hear of any perspective that is different from your own. Have you ever purchased a product that has NOT lived up to your expectations or are you the type of person that easily pleased. Personally I spent nigh on £22K cash (a decision I am now regretting) for a product that does not live up to my expectations and falls considerably short and I am not going to tell everyone on here how fabulous it is because I am too proud and do not want to look like an idiot. Surely forums are designed for the sharing of info, good or bad.

I would also refer you back to post number 11, you may need to have a rethink on that unless you take the PCP to the full term which I think you will have to do if you don't want to lose any money.

LOL I absolutely love the 6 series Marc.

It provides a brilliant contrast to the Lotus, after time in the BMW the Lotus feels very special and vice versa but for differing reasons of course.

Put it in ECOPRO mode a couple of weeks ago for a 60 mile trip in rush hour back from Gatwick and it did 58.9 MPG, it really is a great all rounder and is supremely comfortable. My only problem is that at over 5m in length it is a big old beast, of course I new that when I bought it though.

It has been 100% reliable as has the Lotus and the GFs TTS has been great too, just the wee FIAT that is letting the side down which is a shameDisapprove

The GF took a phone call from FIAT today and apparently the 'expert' from Italy cannot make it overLOL I refuse to deal with them now and as the GF loves it so much I have put her in charge of any future dealings with the idiots. She will soon lose her rag with them at it will be then off to either BMW, Honda or hopefully Renaultsport for a replacementBig Smile

Just thought I better take it out as it's stood for quite a while, I was in a car crash a few weeks ago and still in a bit of pain and off work.

Anyway, it started first time, was a blast to drive, nothing fell off, happy days. Fantastic little thing. Thanks MrVix for all the negativity, it made me get out and test the fact I wasn't going deluded. Cheers

If any of RUK are wondering why this forum is nearly dead just take a look at this thread.

It only takes 1 or 2 Trolls to destroy a forum if they are not blocked or managed properly.

this forum got me into trackdays, my first ever one was at Spa, met Jeremy and had a few mental laps with him, went to Spa with Renault for the following 4 years, met a load of great people, came on here for a catchup and chat, its just not worth visiting anymore, gutted for the people that run it, but it seems every forum has the few trolls that ruin it nowadays, its even worse as none of them even own a Renault. I'll look forward to meeting owners at next years trackdays, but wont bother much with this site from now on, been away for a few months, and its got even worse.
