Sorry guys/gals, couldnt see where i could post this so just taking a chance.

Im not clued up with all this but im seeing if anyone can help, i only have an 07 1.4 Clio, i think i let the fuel run too low last week and noticed in 2nd gear accelerating it statted the chug a bit, today it got alot worse in 3rd, i was hoping topping it with fuel and maybe some liquid i can buy from Halfords to hopefuly help clear any crap may do the job but a friends thinks it may be the fuel filter? Is this easy to change for somwone with no experience?

Thanks for your time

Fuel filter is normally incorporated into the fuel level/pump unit which is in the fuel tank & needs replacing at around 90000 miles.
Your description sounds more like ignition pencil ignition coils' & spark plugs which is a more common issue especially if not maintained correctly.

Out of the two the spark plugs and coils is the easiest and cheapest.
If you are going to do the work yourself I would advise you to buy a Haynes manual and get to know what is involved.
