Sadly there's not much chance of me attending due to where I live but I have to agree that Renault Sport trackdays are for Renault Sport / Alpine cars only.

Del is right Renault numbers have declined that much that you hardly see another car when your out Those that may have read my post wrong but I did say that you could bring another car ( friends or family ) only if you have booked on your renault From what I have seen from renaultsport days is that if everyone booked on with a renaultsport brought a friend with there road car to introduce them to renault from what I have seen is that there would still be room for other people with renaultsports The whole world just doesn’t revolve around renaults Having done track days for 30 plus years What I have seen is the one make days have all but disappeared and the ones that allowed different classes but still run as a one make booking have kept going Personally I think a friends and family introduction to renault days is a great idea As I said Jeremy ran the best track days I’ve been on but unless you have a renault you will never know they are on and people will not even go to watch and maybe get interested in renaults I often see trackdays advertised on different forums and myself and mates go along to watch them You often bump into people you know with a new car and get a pass lap in it and I have seen guys buying cars from this I bought a scooby back in 1996 and all my mates said it’s a farmers car After a pass lap in it I think within a month three others had bought scoobs If you don’t think out the box and expand your business and get the word out that you exist you are going to just disappear
Don’t knock it till you try it guys and girl Someone has to come up with ideas and take the bull by the horns or the superb renault days are going to disappear

Thanks foxspeed
Now it’s upto luke to get his finger out and do some twisting arms and get some money of renault for advertising and booking of tracks for current and future renault clients to be able to test out the new renaultsports on track
Going back to twisting arms I used to work at a company that refused to move on Ie - wouldn’t buy good vans Supply good battery drills grinders etc instead of mains power Didn’t pay enough money for hotels thus the guys were always tired sleeping in vans or pissed up from being in the pub all night I twisted their arms and got all new decent vans kitted out With Proper battery drills , grinders etc Because when your out in the middle of no were you can’t exactly find a 110v power supply Also booking men into a decent hotel with breakfast and a evening meal with a pint ( and in some cases porn on pay tv ) well the young guys liked that part and the woman in our office paying the bills just thought they were watching films What I found was that the jobs got done on time and often quicker and the guys were happier and better presented after a good night sleep We ended up picking up work from Cornwall to the Scottish islands north of Scotland To be honest nearly 90 % of all their outlets And that meant turnover went up massively I know the boss may have had something to do with winning the work but a good happy workforce impress people and happy managers report on to head office I wasn’t scared to tell a MD of a company and it paid off So come on Luke at renault get in there and start prodding someone’s balls and it might work You will either impress or get fired for annoying higher management But as you be said you don’t get on in life with out proding and upsetting a few people To be honest most bosses like people wirh a set of balls and their own ideas And if you get fired you can always go and work for Vauxhall lol

Well thats 6 months of the year gone and nothing, knew it was on the way out when it was just Anglesey and Rockingham (ahh)last year, i have been to a lot of them in the last few years, well all except the evening ones, what is that all about. I have to travel the day before and find accommodation but well worth the effort as far as i am concerned.
RIP Renault track days

RIP Renault track days Luke has now stated a couple of times that he is trying to tie down dates/cost for this year so, fingers crossed, they may well happen which will be great news for those that will attend. It will not however address the ongoing decline in the number of attendees which is what @Shocker's post was all about. Personally I think it has some merit although based on the last couple of years I am not sure that even if each car/driver had bought along a 'friend/family' the events would have been viable. Even in their heyday the investment by RUK to subsidise these events was a very substantial amount. I fear that ultimately the fate of these days will depend on the level of investment that RUK deem reasonable to promote the brand therefore any method to increase the participant level may be worth a punt.

Hi i have attended only manged one RS trackday every year for the last few years as the dates have always been a little late coming and i have always had things booked.(by my wife)
my wife has now pretty much booked the rest of summer for me so not looking good for me now this year. I also wanted to do the track day while my clio 182 trophy was not my daily driver. But since my megane 275 trophy is due to go shortly its looking less and less like i will make this year :(
but they are great fun :)

Can anyone from Renault give us any idea as to what tracks are being considered for these days?

Rough dates would be good as I would like to start booking some trackdays for this year but would be gutted if it fell on or very close to the RS trackdays
