Hi, my name is Paul and I live in West London. I’ve previously owned a Clio 172 and more recently a liquid yellow Megane R26. I followed up the R26 with an Audi TT, but have returned to the Renaultsport family with a Megane 250RS. It’s oyster grey and I have to say the original purchaser did a first class job with the options list. It’s got gloss back 19’s, recaro racing seats, glass roof, upgraded stereo, and I’m not sure if these were extras but it has parking sensors, and directional driving lights. I’m glad to be a member of this forum.

Hello I'm Craig I just bought a 2006 Renault Megane Sport Cup. Just getting MOT done. I was loo king at the Forge dump valve and hard pipe kit, any idea if it's any good and has anyone got this fitted to their car?

Hi all. I'm the proud new owner of an ultra blue megane 225. I'm about to send the car down to Celtic tuning for a mild remap to 275 bhp and similar torque figure. In my friends infinite wisdom he has suggested that before I do this, I need to service the suspension parts and replace the front discs with Tarrox drilled and grooved discs with appropriate pads.
My question is.....does anyone own a manual for a 2006 megane 225 so I can source the parts? Or recommend a good mechanic to set up the suspension?

Hi Mate
don't bother with the Tarox discs just get plain Brembo discs and some ds1.11's, ds2500, PF z rated etc, don't bother with EBC or Brembo pads they don't work, will also depend on what you are going to use the car for.

Many thanks Ian. I do a lot of motorway driving. This week on the m3 was particularly concerning when in soaking wet conditions the brakes just went awol. Not from pedal travel, just no stopping power at all.
To be honest I'm not totally sure on what derivative 225 I have purchased!! It's a 2006 225 in r26 ultra blue. Recarros leather hi backs, air con on the central console. The brakes are a total misnomer. Looks like 2 pistons on the front caliper and a signed pot on the rear. SOLID discs!!! Any idea what version this might be? On hpi it just comes up as a 2.0 sport. All other details correct and original, including the R26 ultra blue colour.

All 225 and r26, as well as the 250, 265 and 275 have 4 pot calipers, single pistons on the rear is normal, if you are only going to use the car on the road then you could go for the grove disc's, its just they kill pads on track.

If you join up to RSmegane forum i'm on there as ianplymouth as well, if you could take a picture of the front disc (either side) and post it on there or PM me it will be a lot easier to see what you have.

Hi My name is Cameron and I live in the UK, I have recently become the proud owner of an awesome dark blue 133 RS.
She is a lot of fun and reasonably practical for my needs. My 2-Year-old daughter finds her comfortable enough to sleep in the back.
I had only owned her for about a week and a half and some careless clown drove into the back of her. Crumpling and splitting the rear bumper and smashing the off-side rear light cluster.
Luckily a note was left, as it was while I was at work. The best part of a month later and she returned to me on Christmas Eve as good as new. The best Christmas gift I received this year by far.

Another newbie based in Aberdeen.

After a few years of German cars BMW 335i, Z4 Coupe and M235i and an A45 AMG I've decided to go for Renault.

I picked up a 62 plate Megane RS265 with the Cup pack the other day.

Wasn't quite the car I was looking for, but it's in nice condition and drives really well.

I'll need to catch up on the things to do and try.

Hi, my name is Paul. I'm about to sign on the dotted line for a new Megane RS280 Cup, my first RS. Car history is MK3 Gti, Mk3 VR6, Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi (not in that order). I was brought up in the era of hot hatches. I've had a look around the forum, for pictures of peoples RS 280's as it's the colour choice that I'm finding hardest of all to spec. The rest is fairly easy as it's personal preference. There seems to be a lot of Volcanic orange ordered, just wondered if there are any pictures of the Titanium grey, or Artic white that I've missed. Also wondered how pearl the arctic white actually is, all help much appreciated. Smile

Been lurking in here for a while so thought I should sign up. Had my Clio Rs200 for 5 years in which time it's gone from daily driver to trackday/weekend car.
