Bose sound quality on Megane RS 280 / 300
|
So, anyone tested it, does it sound good enough or we'll need to tinker again with aftermarket stuff ? Would really like a review, if someone wanna give some info regarding this.

I had custom audio (woofers, hidden subwoofer in trunk and amilifier) in Clio 4 RS and I wanted BOSE in Megane to avoid aftermarket audio upgrade.
If you are an audiophile then I doubt any BOSE system will sounds enough for you but personally I have some audio stuff in home and I can tell that BOSE in Megane is just fine. Not perfect but good enough to dissuade me from thinking about upgrade.

Like most systems in cars, it can sound a bit tinny at low volumes (to be expected with the road and wind noise), but at higher volumes it sounds great.
It doesn't have lots of DSP profiles like the Clio 4 had, instead there's just a Treble and Bass slider to tweak, along with controls to centre the sound within the car.

Also, the Bose pack also includes the 8.7" portrait touchscreen option (worth £300 on its own).
