I have just started campaigning a 1980 Turbo 1 Gp 4 historic rally car. It has been built by John Price Rallying who had the first ever T1 competition car in the UK.

This is an iconic car from the Eighties the original hot hatch built with the sole purpose of being a light weight RWD rally rocket. It is certainly a handful to master in full competition trim. See madvideo.co.uk Midlands Rally July 22 to see just how tricky! However we finished with only pride and fibreglass damaged.

As a newbie to the forum can I ask how to upload photos so I can show you the car. I believe there are just 2 T1s with competition log books in the UK, and it is surprising how much attention we get from people who regognise the car and know its giant killing history.

I am would love to start a thread to collect together memories and history on these cars and to share what happens next in my cars rally adventures.

You need to host the pics on another site such as photo bucket and link them in using the button that looks like a mountain a live where you type Smile

Sounds amazing, can't wait to see/read more about it

You can see pictures of the car when we displayed it at Race Retro in February as part of the Rallying with Group B live stage.

I'd love one of those, but would actually prefer it as a road going car

All rally cars have to have number plates, tax an insurance to be used on the roads. As they have to use public roads to get between stages. So technically it is a road car ;) lol

What I meant was an unmodified, original Turbo 1
