18" Estoril alloy wheel only 6kg per corner? Typo?
|
According to https://en.shop.renaultsport.com they're only 6kg per corner which seems really really light and if so I really want a set to replace the 19" Interlagos Diamond Blacks I have. Does anyone know if this is a typo or if they really are that light? I think I'd seriously want the lighter Estoril 18" wheel over the much better looking but heavier 19" Interlagos.

I have been looking for the weight on these as they are what I have when mine arrives, but was looking at replacing with aftermarket 18"s, but the 1s I like are 9kg a wheel so if correct at 6kg then may have to keep the standard wheels.

If you do go aftermarket give me a shout I'll probably be interested in taking these off your hands.
I might see if anyone here wants to swap mine for standard. Nice free +£950 option for someone and I get the lighter wheels I want. I want that 6kg confirming first tho :)

The other benefit of 18' is the bigger choice of interesting rubber, particularly semis.

The reason for the 18s for me is the car will be used daily, for my gf during the week to take our boy to school and general running around, then occasionally I will use for work and weekends, so 18s give that little bit more comfort. As for selling, unsure on that at the min, may keep them as winter wheels and get some good winter tyres on them. I just have to actually wait for my car to get here now.

It is a typo...the 18s are 12.6 kgs, just had it confirmed from Renault.
I knew 6kg just couldn't be right. Well now we know.
So those aftermarket ones you were looking at might be a good weight saving at 9kg Gaz.

Black Interlagos 19’s are 11.7kg according to that same site. Wouldn’t mind a set of these for my Trophy.
Anyone know weight of the standard Trophy wheels?

Yeah, but still - there is a strange diffrence of 1kg between black and diamond cut 19s.

Anyone know why we have to pay £950 to upgrade 4 Estoril alloys to Interlagos alloys when buying the car, when Renault only charge €24 extra per alloy for the Interlagos?
