Hi, I’m sure most people on the forum know who I am by now, but if not, I’m known as Steve182 On Sunday April 13th 2008 I’ll be running the London Marathon. I hope that you can help me raise the £1500 for Whizz-Kidz. About my charity : Whizz-Kidz Whizz-Kidz aims to improve the quality of life of disabled children and young people in the UK through the provision of customised mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and tricycles. It is dedicated to providing help and advice to the children and their families and raising awareness of mobility-related issues through national campaigning. Thanks. I'm in good shape though as I've been running for a few years and seriously training for the marathon since Sept. All I need now are the generous folks from this site to donate a little to www.justgiving.com/stevesadlerWe are all so privileged to be fit enough to enjoy driving our beloved Renaultsports. That's something the courageous children of Whizz-Kidz would only ever be able to dream about. I hope you can help by supporting this fantastic charity.

To all 808 Forum members; This equates to a £1.85 donation each Please flex your credit cards and pledge me less than a the price of a pint of beer on www.justgiving.com/stevesadlerSurely it's worth that for a few laps of a race circuit and you can be proud of yourselves for helping out some very disadvantaged children. Thanks

Good luck Steve it's a great event, I have done the last 3 London Marathons but injured at the moment so having to miss 2008 I'll stick a tenner in as I know the amount of training and pain you need to go through so good job the weather outside is nice

Thanks doc for your tenner donation, it's very much appreciated. Yeah you have got the ball rolling, nice one. Just starting to crank it up now as the long run on tues was 18.6 miles. I've read that the real race begins at the 20 mile mark, which confirms your comment of the last 6 miles being the hardest. Cheers & Happy Christmas Steve You will be entered in the draw to win some passenger laps in the Clio Edited by user 21 December 2007 00:45:53(UTC)

Hi Steve, based on that recent Half Marathon performance you should be looking at 3:15 for London Is that the time you had in mind ?
Howdi doc, When I started serious training in Sept I wanted a sub 4 hour. I now realise that a much better time is poss. Let's just say that my window now I think is 3:45 worst scenario and 3:15 tops. The next three months traing will probably give me more info for a more accurate time
