A few of you know that I had my scooter stollen. So that left the bothersome task of getting the insurance to pay out. My scooter was worth roughly £1500 and I had a £400 excess so I wanted paying out £1100. fair enough I though no probs. Especially after the fantastic claims service that i had just had on a sofa with a hole the size of a penny in it. First offer. £800. no way I said. The women in the claims dept said I was lucky as they had found a bike for £1000 so I should be getting £600. I later found that this was a damaged bike. Tossers! Next offer. £900. Which was supposably £800 plus £100 good will. "Rubbish" I said. So I sent em 3 adverts to back up a price of £1500. 2 Weeks later last offer. £1100. Hallelujah Thing is after all the messing about I have been well put of this company. If they had just paid out straight away they could have retained my future business. But cos of all the messing about I will aviod them at all costs. Company in question is Chaucer. Anyway moral is with insurance stick to your guns and you will get there in the end. I DID!!!!!!

Good Friend of mine had someone put out on him and his Corrado was a total loss (not too bad I thought), the insurance company offered him £1400, so he said "go and find me another 1996 Corrado with 80,000 miles for £1400" !

So they put the offer up to £2200 !

They will try it on if they can !
