Of the 1180 originally imported (1, 2 and 3), there are 564 remaining on the DVLA database. Of these, 452 are currently taxed and111 are SORN.

So that means possibly 616 williams clios have been either nicked, written off or exported in the UK alone LOL

Gosh, not many left now... I suppose that number will keep going down as cars die to keep other ones alive... Is there any way of breaking the numbers down into 1's, 2's or 3's??

have to say in my years working in Parts.....i personally know to over 20 reshelled in nottingham alone....lots got written off, but saying that...because of what they were they got rebuilt....

so, if notts had over 20,,,put that across dealers in the country...guess many met a demise and were deemed not worth repairing

sad

That reg does not appear on any insurance database so could be scrapped or SORN. N 21 CWC is still insured so looks like it is still out thereApprove

1180 were imported to the UK

Williams 1 - 390
Williams 2 - 482
Willaims 3 - 308

However – not all numbers 0001 to 0390 came to England. Some are in france and some higher numbers are here. Highest I know of is 0425 that’s a RHD English car.

Interesting!

N21 CWC is taxed too.

M919 TWL has not been taxed or declared sorn since 09/2005 so maybe Dead

I'm ok Daz, thanks for asking!.How are you?Your thumb better now? lol After the second half of 2009 things can surely only get better for us Smile

There's a vehicle check thingy on DVLA. As long as you know the registration and manufacturer of the vehicle you can see the status of the road fund license, quite a handy thing to see if your old cars are still around.

I know of one Williams 2 that was put on the scrapage scheme.

I own a Willy 1. It's his 17th birthday this year :) 17 years of humiliating much more expensive exotica on b-roads and still going strong :D

Very rare to see another, only know of one other near me now :(

P.S. Jeremy, if you remember back to May 2009 at Brands Hatch, mine was the broken down Willy at the entrance of the circuit with two other Williams. I'd spun a bearing, buggered the bottom end. Had it all replaced after a week or two though!

Hi I just bought a Williams 3, anyone know how many of these were in the UK, or left? It's done 72,000miles and seems in great condition.
