Wow that's one that has flown in under the radar. Much as I think good ones are underpriced (and they are rare) that is a daft amount of money.

3 elements with this one - mileage, owners and being unmodified. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to sell

I'll agree with that and if I'm honest it's probably a better example than mine but no way would I price mine anywhere close to that.

Not available from the factory but I think were a dealer option. They are generally to be steered clear of as most leak like a sieve.

Not that RUK would pay £15k for one but not really understanding why they would then sell one of the flagship cars in the collection, I assume you are talking about Williams 0001.

Yeah i know i had a GTS and it leaked all though i actually cured the problem be sealing the holes that were in where the lights are in the roof

Now sold!  http://www.4starclassics.com/renault-5-gt-turbo-for-sale/

I won't say I'm surprised but I am. I wonder how much it actually went for as after looking at and blowing up the higher resolution images on the original site it actually wasn't all that, though it might seem sour grapes for me to bring it up LOL

Actually, splitting hairs, the black one was on offer for £14995 though I doubt very much if it went for that, not sure why they are marketing the Tungy for less as it "looks" equally as good.

I thought it was £12,995. Perhaps they put it up?

If you sell cars on Sale Or Return and the owners aren't that bothered about selling them then they can sit at any amount of money until someone feeling nostalgic with an inheritance or bonus in their pocket comes along.

There was no sunroof option, but many had a cheap pop up sunroof. Woe betide anyone using the inside headlining cut template outside haha. Ditto Peugeot 205 GTi which had those sliding roofs fitted by the dealers.

I suppose I must have been silly to turn away an ultra low miles 5 GTT about 3 years ago for £5000 IIC. Also in 1989 I think I paid £8000 for a black one at 6m old and swapped it 6m later for a grey one with lower miles. So free motoring.
