I suppose I must have been silly to turn away an ultra low miles 5 GTT about 3 years ago for £5000 IIC.

Which one was that? Kinda fits the timeframe of when I bought mine.

The million dollar question though - would we have one over the more common and cultish Peugeot 205GTI or a Volkswagen Golf GTI? In a word, yes.

Back when I was about 15, my mum and dads next door neighbour had a 5 Turbo. Looking back, it was in bloody unbelievable condition. I have always wanted one since then but good ones are pricey.

6k would be my maximum for something like this because inevitably it's going to cost a bob or two to keep ticking over.

Nice to see the 5GTT getting some coverage in EVO 191. Keeping the legend alive.

Remember going with a mate to look at one back in the day.
Still remember the price , at the time it seemed like you'd need to win on the pools.
His parents bought it for him.(spoilt brat! Lol)
Brand new. E reg.
£9160.
White.
Power seemed unbelievable when your a kid, surprised now when I see actual BHP and top speed figures!

Does anyone at RUK have access to the original retail pricing for the 5GTT please? There seems to be some variance in prices paid, as there would be, but for example how much was pearl white paint?

How much did it go for? I could not open the link!

I don't remember how much the black was up for sale at but it went for £11k, the Tungy they had for sale went for a couple of grand more. Four star do a great job marketing the cars they take on but remember they take a minimum of £4k commission.
Anyway, all nice tp know as mine is similar mileage/condition :)

Difficult to find one now-a-days that hasn't been 'Ali-G'd'.

That one looks nice.
