...absence makes the heart grow fonder.... Wink

Its a chance for us all to buy a 200T and then roll up together...I love how RS cars seem few and far between, even now, and when owners turn up at such events, the public love seeing them- we're a 'walking' advert....Smile

Gives me immense pride to have a new RS at WSR Approve

Moscow was actually rammed this year!

Due to how this year is being run, splitting the event with other championships like the Endurance race we had at Austria, theres only 4 true WSR events this year.

Barcelona is the next one, and the last one!

Hopefully we'll come back to Silverstone next year - I miss racing in the UK, however a trip to Spa is a good alternative, few of my friends this that this year. If anyone does come to any events then give me a shout and you can come in our garage and look at the cars etc.

I cant see Renault bringing it back here for a while. It just doesnt have a market here anymore. Spur of the moment, I went to go to the Renault dealer local to me a few miles away. Got there and its folded and gone. Its Bristol street motors and there was two renaults in the forecourt and thats it.The closest to me from Mansfield, are Chesterfield and Sheffield. The closest Renaultsport specialist is night on 100 mile trip in both directions at peterborough or Wakefield. The Laguna, Wind and Espace all scrapped. Sales dropping. Its stupid focus on rubbish electric cars where there's zero infrastructure; Theres just no reason for them to do the event for free in the UK anymore. Renault's no longer a big brand here.

Its such a shame. I loved those days out. Each time I went with my Dad and my Grandad, spent about £100 on F1 mercandise, Still got my picnick kit that was given for free alongside an F1 umbrella, all the pictures and a Michael Rossi signed poster.

To be honest, Id pay £15 quid per person if it returned. Whether it was the classic Renau stand, the F1 demonstration, the PS3 game simulator, learning to do handbrake turns in what was the brand new Megane MK3. The racing was superb too.

I want it to come back so I can go every single year but, I just cannot see it happening with how the company is at the moment over here. Moscow is a new country and a market to manipulate and squeeze into. Arguably, it could do more in Russia than england.

I'm not sure that Silverstone would be my first choice of location. I mean it's great for being just a few miles from my house, but as a spectator circuit for getting around and watching the racing it's rubbish. It's just SO massive! Takes you ages to get anywhere, and the racing is dull after a handful of laps because the cars get so spread out.

During the last Megane race I actually lost the will to live. 40 minutes + 1 lap or something? Dear God. Sleepy

However, as for being central and modern with all the facilities it's head and shoulders above anywhere else. Tricky. Either way it's a brilliant event and, despite having to walk for miles, it's a good day out so hopefully we'll see it back in 2014.

Donnington park!? Bit more midland/northernly and its only 3 or 4 junctions from me, but that track would be superb for WSR! Only problem is, its not to the standard of safety for WSR is it? Then again ofcourse it is with the BTCC and its support races.

It would be perfect. You would have a really close knit area for all the entertainment and the stalls literally 5 mins from track action, plenty of parking and much better accessibility.

We held it at Donington prior to Silverstone. Got in lots of trouble with the adjacent airport as the crowds caused traffic chaos. SIlverstone is the only UK circuit that could cope with the volume of traffic

I remember being parked in the infield area. It took an hour just to reach the tunnel under the circuit and anotHer hour to get to the motorway

It's true that Silverstone is about the only circuit that's able to cope with the traffic. I was wondering if Brands could do it, as it ticks all the other boxes. It does still suffer from traffic issues though Sad

Maybe if this new circuit gets built in Wales it could have the facilities and access of Silverstone with a circuit like, erm, all the best bits of all the best circuits! Big Smile

Just a shame it's in Wales really. LOL
