right then its not about making money or how much it will be worth in x number of years but which Renault/renaultsport/alpine would you have as a keeper if you could?

Missed the 3 requirement. I'd go for:

1. 5 Turbo 1 in blue
2. V6 255 in yellow
3. Williams

I think that's a perfect trio. I'll have that, V6 in Acid and the R26.R in RB

V6 255 in Acid Yellow

R26.R in Racing Blue

Right that's it, definitely, maybe

Clio 200 (grey Raider)
275 Trophy-R
Clio V6 255

For me the R26.R has been surpassed but the 275 Trophy-R.

You have to have an Alpine car in a keeper garage, it's where it all started....

Do you know what, I love the A110, but not a fan of the others if I'm honest Shocked

Then I'd rather have the turbo 2 over that as well. The other 2 are the best Renaultsports made imo

Yes the later models weren't as beautiful as the earlier Alpine only models but they still had something to offer at the time.

I would have gone with an A106 but the A110 still offers decent performance given it's power to weight ratio and RWD drivetrain.

I still struggle with V6 255 and 182 Trophy.

How about this

Alpine A110-1600s

5 Maxi Turbo

R26.R (cage and Ti)

That's a nice compromise. Think the V6 is more special than the .R but as a balance of cars that goes well

Ok, just 'Renaultsports'

V6 255
182 trophy
R26.R

V6 255
Turbo 2
Only 2 keepers for me, these 2 are just bonkers from a design point of view, completely bespoke cars not slightly modified from base cars.
I like most Renaultsports, but as keepers, not necessarily drivers cars these two really stand out for me.

Lots of people choosing the 255 V6 and they still sell for big money.

I must be in the minority then who's not a big fan.

It is very good looking but for me that's it really. I love that it exists but as a car it's not fast enough, uses too much fuel and has a horrible driving position.

Also people choosing the R26.R but do you not think the new Trophy-R devalues it a bit.

Have you driven a V6 Phil? It's more than the on the limit stuff, just pottering round in it is an event.

Also doubt the -R will have any impact on .R's status. I reckon in 15-20yrs time the .R will be seen as the daddy

I've not driven a Vee but been in a few. It's enjoyable no doubt it's just not a top 3 car on my list.

The -R for me is what the .R should have been. (Well apart from the price)
