Because he said he'd be sad to see it go.

Just because the PCP ends doesn't mean you have to give it back.

I don't think everyone knows that you can keep the car! It's no more on lease than a car on HP. Just a bigger final payment that's all.

same here!

i have a 10 plate 250 and ready for a change, have phoned 4 garages about the 275 as i would see this as a natural
replacement. only one garage has returned my enquiry and he priced my 250 £3500 below what garages are asking for them on the forecourt! needless to say iam disapointed, and coming to the conclusion dealers are only interested in selling
1.2 Clios etc etc.
so thats 3 garages who are that busy they cant return a call, Renault must be that busy they cant keep up with demand!
hope you have better luck than me, not that the 250 is a bad car, in fact its that good i might have to keep and RENAULT WILL MISS ANOTHER 275 SALE!

It's probably 0.9 tCE Clio now Wink

It's a shame that the others haven't replied though. Depends where you are and how far you want to travel but you could always give our sales team a call and I'm sure they would be glad to help you Smile

dont mind travelling, will give them a ring in a few weeks
cheers

Anybody had a decent quote for that spec on a PCP?

Looking forward to hearing the 'bottom line'.

I bet you're looking at 500 quid.

I'm sure C63s could be had for 600 at some point.

And that sort of monthly makes your average Megane owner crap his pants.

They are more low, to middle income Sky TV type people.

They look very smart, but nowhere near a megane in terms of driveability

Latest model is supposed to be a big improvement.

Didn't realise they dropped the new engine in, thought it was just a name change. For me it was the chassis that let it down, and nothing new there according to evo.

Not a bad car per se though, just not a full on thrill to drive like the meg

Don't think there's a huge amount of difference between them........

275 remains the best driving hot hatch out there, so that would get my vote especially if you like the 250.
I've had 4 cars since my 250 and none have come close to the drive of that car.

I second thatBig Smile

OP don't be dazzled by ze german offerings, they may have more pose value amongst the ignorant masses but the 250/265/275 will knock spots off of all of them in the driving stakesTongue

Wow! Thanks for all the replies guys, much appreciated.

I feel there is a random amount of bitterness though from certain members regarding PCP? PCP fits my needs and life style perfectly; as I said, I get a new car every few years, have the peace of mind of a warranty constantly and the fact it may be a bit more money in the long run doesn't really bother me. I've been paying for a car lump sum since I was 18 and I am now 32. I don't see the money, it just pays for a luxury I love .. just like my Sky TV Wink

Anyway, onto the car advise. I have thought about the Golf R and may go down that route. I guess the problem I am having is a) I love my my RS .. its just getting to the point in its life where things are going to start to need to be replaced = don't want to go down that route again but I dont actually want to get rid of it; so a direct replacement for an 265 / 275 seems logical and b) its the class leader, anything else just seems like a compromise.

I have looked at bigger coupes; the S4, S5 and 335i as well but none of them i think would suit me, so I end up falling back into the hot hatch trap and ending on the Megane again.

I guess I will see what my local Renault dealer says on the weekend and also pop down to my BWM one regarding a 135i Coupe and see what that turns up and then bounce next door to the VW and see what deals I might be able to get on a Golf R.

Thanks again guys :)

Tom

Given the Golf R is so relatively cheap, where does that leave the GTi these days? For its class its power output seems yesteryear and the R would appear only a small financial step ahead....

totally agree - from that family/vag group, you'd have to be very silly to buy anything apart from the R

What's the general consensus about the Scirocco R? I think one of the things I like about the Megane RS is that you don't see many of them .. you see a dozen Golf R going to the shops and back. Don't think ti have seen a Scirocco R though?

I'd go golf r over the roc r.

The golf is a new car when the roc isn't. Mrs had one and it was lovely however I think the golf is better

I've seen a few R's, don't look too bad.
I'm just not taken with the who VAG cars, so wouldn't pick one for myself.

Getting a PCP (dun dun durrrr PCP!! omg!!) quote on this http://www.autotrader.co...d/advert/201407085642325 Think it looks pretty sweet!

You don't see many Sciroccos for a reason, they are expensive for what they are and they are not great drives.

The other potential option would be a Leon Cupra 280? I had the Leon Mark 2 TFSi prior to my RS and thought it was a really good car ... I presume this new model is an improvement on that, which must be a good thing?
