In fact it's probably worth starting a new thread to highlight this next stage of the cars launch and the great reviews rather than have it buried on page 14 of this one??

Looks fantastic and sounds like a great drive. On paper it's just what I'd look for in a car! I was all for ordering one of these but unfortunately I have the dog in the car regularly these days and need the rear seats!Disapprove

Maybe we even get an Alpine sub-forum at some point?
Meanwhile, I just found this Autocar review ....

Great review!

Alpine is a completely different brand and nothing to do with Renault Sport, so no sub forum.

Some amazing reviews. I really want a spin in one now (not that I didn’t already of course), but some of the articles and videos of people guffawing over it is brilliant to see

Appreciate the 'different brand' and get the reasoning for it etc....But the folk RenaultSport worked their magic on this for sure Wink

It'll be interesting how it stacks up (despite been a completely different car) to the new megane!

Could be wrong but I thought Alpine folk worked their magic on Renault cars at Dieppe (Home of Alpine since 1955) to create RenaultSport RS cars rather than Renault folk helping Alpine. Alpine were creating fantastic handling cars 50 + years ago, Renault Sport is a relatively new sub brand by comparison. The Alpine people at Dieppe may have been working on hot Renault's since the Brands (temporary) demise in 1995 but I am pretty sure they will tell you their heritage and passion comes from their Alpine routes.

Glad the Dieppe guys have nailed this car though. It's great to put the likes of Porsche in their place for once.

Oops the one top gear were using has gone up in flames 🔥
That won’t help the alpine reputation one little bit 😩

A friend knows Eddie Jordan who was there and the photo after the fire is pretty grim, a small grey pile of ash.

The photos are all over the net, fortunately nobody was hurt and hopefully it won’t hurt/damage the release of the car and brand,

There's a Lamborghini Murcielago that comes often to the Yorkshire big breakfast meet with his Mrs and a dog so don't let 2 seats put you off, lol
