Yes totally agree. I admire what Red Bull have done, but they really are up themselves more often than not.

Merc will not supply Red bull as they are going to supply Manor, Ferrari are willing to supply but only one team either RB or TR. Honda as we all know are not in a position to supply another team at present so there may be some late announcements at the turn of the year.

Seems like Bernie is going to need to pull some strings to make it all come together! I just want to see RedBull with non-works Ferrari engines but with a gagging order!

We have told the F1 authorities that Renault will no longer be an engine supplier in F1. We have also said that we will honour our side of the existing contracts until their planned cessation at the end of next year.

We have also said that we have two options now, withdraw from F1 or enter as a full team. The decision will be made in the coming weeks.

That puts you in a great bargaining position.

certainly does, and looks like Red Bull will feel some significant pain with key sponsors with Renault links such as Total and Infiniti surely to depart too.

They'll just re-write or make an exception to the rules.

Would be good although I'm not sure Ferrari will think too much to having their engine tech in a competitors hands for 2 years..but I suppose that didn't do Honda any good.

Pretty certain Renault deal to buy Lotus has/will be done. BIG question now will Merc/Ferrari give ammunition for Red Bull's formidable gun?
