Hi All

Anyone had any issues getting their car through the emissions test?

4 years old. 37k on the clock. Fresh oil and air filter. Sparks not due until 75k according to Renault.
There are no errors on the ECU and I'm told the lamda sensor is fine yet it still fails on the fast idle.

It's just outside warranty too and so I've now got to fork out for a diagnostics fee for Renault to see if Clip will read more than my garage can.

Just looking to see if this has been common.

This may sound daft but they are putting the probe in far enough? I work in a garage and mine was MOT the other week, there is a gap between the exhaust trims and the actually exhausts that could cause a wrong reading.

Mine went through its first MOT with 86000 miles on the clock no engine emission issues, just worn tires (replacements were in the rear ready to be fitted) and a horn not working - negative contact needed a wire brush.
Was the car run long enough before hand to get the engine warm enough.

No leaks as far as I can tell.

I watched the retest and probe seemed pretty well inserted.

First test I'm not sure how warm it was as it was left, on retest I took it for a good drive and got the cat as hot as it's ever been, and was surprised to see it fail again. It had no issues last year.

I've booked a new test elsewhere now, as I guess it could be the machine calibration.

Will anyone from Renault UK return my call ref 4-04449997?
My case manager is not returning my calls, I am without a car - my own or courtesy.
