Calling all dealers it would be good if you could please post some spec’ and pic’s of your very recently or soon to be delivered demonstrators.

Nice, black wheels as well...I'm sure that'll go down well with those that had to change orders who originally wanted them.

The other wheels look horrible in comparison.

how does a dealer car get black wheels when a regular customer can't order them?

Yep that looks brilliant with the black wheels, the diamond cut jobbies look nasty in comparison. Really looking forward to the Trophy now and some proper reviews.😁

Yeah, that's quite annoying to be fair!

Mine should be here by the end of the month if I'm lucky. Same colour as that car except for the wheels.

It's not the end of the world though, the wheels will no doubt end up picking up some scrapes and when they do I'll be having them painted black anyway.

What is even more surprising/irritating/annoying (delete as appropriate) is that the car is for sale so clearly not a demonstrator.
Cannot find the list that was recently published but I do not recall Yeovil being included as a 'RS Specialist' dealer.

That might just as well be a rhetoric question - not much chance of anyone from RUK responding even is there is an answer which I doubt.
Bottom line is that Renault do not really care about their customers.
They started - I use the word loosely - by trying to put off all of those that placed an order and now it seems are quite content to stick up 2 fingers to all who stuck with it by being able to supplying dealers with 'out of stock' options on their cars.

The perils of being an 'early adopter' I am afraid. The clever money waits for at least 6 months to see how the product pans out.

I dont think it unreasonable for a Dealer to order his own product. If I were on his sales team I would be shouting in his ear to order one thats the business their in. But whoever buys it will not get the benefit of early adopters with the free cup chassis.

Looking at the price I don't think the cup chassis is free. I think Del's point in is it has wheels that he and others had ordered, but were then told was unavailable.

Popped into Renault London West today and was told that their demos were arriving end of this week. Then of to the scratch and shine department to be prepped, ready for mid July.

A dealer that was on the ball would want to be the first to order, so I imagine more wheels were available when ordered and its possible for it have been a cancelled order.

Well my assumption is that dealers must have been able to place orders before May 1st as nearly everyone on here who had to make changes to their spec ordered within the first week.
Pics on the 'other' forum from a dealership 'up norf' show a white car with black wheels.
Be interesting to see what Renault West London get delivered.

@MrVix - Its not the product, I am quite happy to have ordered the car.
My gripe is the total indifference that Renault show to customers - you know the people that keep them in business - with there seemingly take it or leave it attitude.

I don't disagree del. What makes me chuckle is Luke is on here with bells on when things are going well, the slightest sniff of a problem and he is less conspicuous than a fart in a hurricane.

Could these 280s not just be the dealer demonstrators they initially ordered but have elected just to sell them instead? Bit of an easy sale while it's difficult for customers to order one in the spec/time they might want.

When 'RS Specialist' dealers first started they were obliged to have a demo of each model and loimitations were applied when it came to selling them.
This may have changed or of course Yeovil may have more than one car.

Del, don’t let it stress you. It’s metal and plastic. If you don’t like the way you are being treated cancel the order.
Otherwise, suck it up soldier. Worth the wait I’m sure.

Don’t think red is the best colour for this car.
