Hi, I just picked up a Twingo MK2 (2008) last week and it's a great clean little car.

Unfortunately I didn't notice an issue with the parcel shelf when buying it; when closing the boot the parcel shelf is too low and it catches the boot seals (already done a bit of damage).

Is this a common issue? Any solution?

The string on both sides looks fine and in original condition and nothing looks damaged, to me it looks like a design flaw.

I had an RS133 for 3 ish years and never had this issue. Difficult to see what’s going on from the pics though, can you post wider photos for a complete view?

It turns out Renault also saw this problem and solved it with some plastic clips the parcel shelf strings needs to hook on:

Such a shame the previous owner never noticed this and ruined the seals.
