OK, I'm just trying to figure out how you can order yours nearly a month later than me, and its already ready for collection, yet I don't even think mine is in the country, I'm wondering if its because its through an rs dealer where as mine is just a normal Renault dealer Edited by user 21 June 2019 06:29:43(UTC)

Think it depends on the dealer. My 172cup didn’t get that through an R.S. dealer and had to wait about 6months for it and when it arrived the hydraulics on the transporter failed and crushed it so had to wait another 3 months for replacement but my 197, 200 and 220 Trophy and now Megane 300 Trophy were all through R.S. dealer and got them kinda quicker original date was September but kept getting brought forward. Tomorrow can’t come quick enough I’ll try to upload photos.

I ordered my RS 280 at Harrats Wakefield on 3rd March and it got to the UK on the 10th June, and scheduled for delivery to Harrats on Monday. I believe Harrats are an RS dealer and mine is in Titanium Grey. I'm also curious why there is such a difference with ordering/delivery times...

My estimated delivery date atm is between 11th and 17th July, which is in the 3-4 month delivery time I was originally quoted, then a few weeks ago I get told in the country on 14th June, to now be told 20something of June, so I still have no idea of when I will be in my car, which for someone as impatient as me, it's killing me lol

Will this not just be a case of the dealer already having an order placed and then adapting it to your spec, v a fresh factory order? FWIW my factory order took 4 months - worth the wait.

Exactly as Craigl says, some dealers have cars ordered even though they do not have a customer for it yet, worth calling a few dealers about before having an order done at the nearest one, had similar experience when ordering a m140i, some dealers had 4-5 months waiting time, the biggest dealer around had two cars ordered so could have them in about one month!! as it was just on the edge of when they could still choose the spec.

Hi newbie here, first & go easy :)
Placed an order myself today, Trophy. Dealer also said orders had only opened this week at the factory. I’ve opted for Liquid Yellow so might be several months wait.
The countdown begins!

You're all lucky you didn't order during the WLTP Production hold up/fiasco! I ordered my RS280 in August last year & finally picked it up on May 20th!! Well worth the wait though; love it!!

First thoughts amazing couldn’t be happier from the service got from the dealer and driving the car looks so much meaner out on the road not had chance to open it up yet not wanting to take it above 3000rpm for first 600 miles running in period and redline until 12000 miles but that will come 😈

Main thing is to avoid long runs at constant revs.

When you say long runs at constant revs, do you mean doing say 70 on a motorway or high revs whilst racing? I'm picking mine up this afternoon and then have a daily hour long commute on motorways...

I'd agree with NickRS on this. Don't hold a constant speed, slow or fast. If you can't vary the road speed change up and down gear instead.

That’s what been doing never at the same speed on motorway go between 50mph and 70mph. When driving about on main roads always 30mph stop start and put her into sport mode and get her too pop and bang 😈
