The event, inside Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, is the biggest in motor sport in the UK and attracts some 90,000 people across its four days.
Many of those this year couldn’t help but ogle over the R.S. Club’s display which included six immaculately turned out road vehicles and four competition-spec cars.
These comprised: new Mégane 280 Cup in Volcanic Orange, Mégane 3 275 Cup S, Mégane F1 230 R26, Clio 197 F1 and 5 Gordini Turbo, Gen 3 and Gen 4 Clio Cup race cars, and ‘Phase 1’ versions each of a Clio 172 track day car and Clio V6 rally car.
The Club’s Stevie Cunningham said: “Once again we were delighted to be invited to Autosport International, one of the biggest shows of the year.
“It enables the club to display some fantastic cars and engage with the public. We had a fantastic response to the stand and the club this year, speaking to many owners and future owners.
“Thank you to everyone who kindly donated cars.”
Meanwhile the Club has released initial details of some of the events including clubs, shows and meets that it is planning for members in 2019 (membership is over the 3,000 mark). More details can be found on its website.
