Brake supplier PFC and Renault Sport UK have forfeited their presence on the cars’ windscreen strips which instead will show the branding (as seen in our pictures).
Likewise the British Touring Car Championship and cars in the Ginetta and FIA Formula 4 categories – which race alongside the UK Clio Cup at BTCC events – are also running branding in support of Billy.
The 18-year-old suffered serious injuries in a F4 race three weeks ago at Donington Park and, sadly, he has since had amputations to both legs.
An astonishing £800,000 has been raised towards his recovery in an online ‘Just Giving’ campaign.
This evening (Saturday) at Thruxton drivers from all categories will join race fans in walking the track in aid of the campaign with minimum donations of £5 per person being requested.
