WDE Motorsport’s Lee Pattison and Team Pyro’s Mike Bushell became the first recipients of the stunning prizes this season with their victories in rounds one and two respectively at Brands Hatch last weekend.
The artwork, 280mm x 250mm, depicts the circuit configuration raced on that weekend.
Each piece is mounted in a solid hardwood frame with the circuit cut from high-grade Baltic birch plywood and given the illusion of ‘floating’ with the use of miniscule acrylic rods. See the grahamandleigh.co.uk website for more details…
As in 2016, Graham & Leigh will also provide larger ‘one-off’ trophies in October to the eventual outright UK Clio Cup Champion and also the winners of its Graduates and Masters Cup classes.
Director Andy Graham commented: “It’s pretty simple – the Renault UK Clio Cup is one of our favourite championships.
“The cars are so evenly matched meaning it’s down to the driver and, as a result, the racing is incredible. We really wanted to get involved as much as possible and are very proud of this partnership and the added kudos it brings to our work.”
Will Fewkes, Renault Sport’s UK Motorsport Championship Manager, said: “We are delighted to have expanded our relationship with Graham and Leigh in this way – the artwork they produce is fantastic and will be a great addition to any driver’s trophy collection.
“With probably as many as 20 drivers on the UK Clio Cup grid capable of winning in 2017 and given how close the action was at Brands Hatch I predict the Graham and Leigh trophies being shared amongst many different households this season!”
