Holland, Grundy OK to race at Donington

Dan Holland and Thomas Grundy will contest Donington’s Park’s three Renault UK Clio Cup races this weekend thanks to a major effort by their JamSport Racing team to repair their cars which were badly damaged at Brands Hatch a fortnight ago.

Holland’s car was still being worked on this morning at Donington just prior to him taking to the track for the first of two official Clio Cup test sessions.

A question mark still remained over his participation after the whiplash he suffered in the Brands Hatch shunt.

But he said: “I’m feeling fine. I did the Thruxton test last week and that still hurt but here’s all good again – I’ve had a doctor do something and it’s worked a treat!”

JamSport’s other driver George Jackson was unable to take part in today’s opening session after getting stuck in a major traffic jam on the M1 motorway en route to the track…
